Last month I began wallpapering the ceiling of our walk-in closet. I ordered a neutral toned, tartan plaid peel and stick wallpaper from RoomMates Decor.

I had never wallpapered a ceiling, and didnโt realize it would be such a task. I wanted to share some tips that will make it easier for you, if wallpapering a ceiling is something you want to try.
1. Wallpapering a ceiling is a 2 person job
– I didnโt have help when working on the ceiling and it is definitely a project that requires more than 2 hands. If you are going to attempt it solo, have a lot of painters tape ready.

2. Use a Wallpaper Smoother Tool
– One of the only down sides of the RoomMates wallpaper, was that it didnโt come with a smoothing tool. I used a credit card, which did work, but didnโt cover a lot of area.

3. Match your patterns
– The more precise you match your patterns the better.

4. Work slowly.
– take your time both in applying the wallpaper and for your body, the arm and shoulder workout you will get with this project is no joke.
