My 2024 DIY Projects: From Accent Walls to Lawn Makeovers

I can’t believe it’s already February! I hope you all had a wonderful winter holiday and rang in the new year with optimism and ease. I spent the month of January planning for 2024 and enjoying time with my family. A few times a year I take a break from social media posting and blogging and enjoy time to relax.

Now that I’m back, I’m sharing my goals for projects in 2024. This year’s tentative project list is:

Accent Wall:

I need to finish my daughter’s accent wall. I started this project just before the winter holidays and with life getting busy, it’s been on hold for a few months.

Walk-in Closet:

This project is beyond overdue. We have one side of our bedroom that we are using as the closet, so getting the closet functional is a top priority.

Kid’s Bathroom:

Yup, still on the list, but just to make some minor fixes to the function, like adding more organization and a towel rack into the shower.

Front Lawn:

If you remember what our yard looked like when we moved in, you know that there is a lot of work to be done. Beyond mowing weeds, there hasn’t been any steps to improving our front lawn, so that’s a Spring time project that my husband is taking on, but I plan to document.

There are a few other spaces I would like to add to this list: mudroom, hallway, son’s room but I’m pacing myself to see how it goes and what can be done.

I’ll be sure to share each project as I make progress and complete them.
