One Room Challenge- Fall 2022

I’ve watched the One Room Challenge for years each Spring and Fall and love seeing the room makeovers. I’m excited to say this season I’m a participant!

If you haven’t seen the One Room Challenge on Instagram, it’s an 8 week challenge where professional designers and DIY enthusiasts pick one room in their homes to transform or renovate. Each week participants share updates about the progress of the rooms they are working on, and reveal the rooms at the end of the 8 week challenge. Below are just a few makeovers from various seasons.

The room I’ve selected for the Fall ORC is our daughter’s bedroom.

With the move into our new home, it’s the first time our daughter won’t be sharing a room with her brother. She is excited to have her own space, and requested a “big girl room”. She will be helping me along the way with color options, and certain furniture selections, because I want her to love all aspects of the design.

Based on the colors she wants in her room “Blush and Grey” – I decided to buy a grey bed as a focal point for the room; but then work white and clear lucite furniture into the design, so they can transition over the years if she chooses a new color scheme as she gets older.

It’s a big undertaking for my first One Room Challenge, but I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together.
